Description: Fallsify 2 is a follow-up to the successful Fallsify 2022 project and focuses on fall prevention for elderly through a digital exercise programme. The project promotes knowledge exchange between partners and explores how these prevention methods can be integrated into healthcare systems across different regions.

Fallsify 2 extends the original project through pilots in nursing homes, also including informal caregivers in the fall prevention method. The pilots collect qualitative and quantitative data to measure the effectiveness of the method and to identify opportunities to better integrate it into healthcare systems. In addition, instructional videos are developed to support professional carers and informal caregivers in applying the programme, both in care facilities and at home.

News: The kick-off meeting took place in December. The first training programme has now been completed, allowing care staff of a nursing home in Kent to start using their new skills in the digital exercise programme to train residents. More training sessions will follow in Kent and West Flanders. The pilots have also have started where a total of 30 elderly people will be monitored participating in the fall prevention programme.

The project partners also will continue training care staff, collecting data from the pilots, and developing instructional videos for care staff and informal caregivers.
